Tuesday, May 19

Hello Everyone!

😃 Happy Birthday, Samantha! 😃

We hope you all had a wonderful Monday! Remember that today we will have a Zoom Room open from 10:45-11:15 for those of you who have questions or need help with any of your work. Also remember that your special area teachers are looking forward to seeing some of the work that you've been doing. We checked out Mrs. West's art page the other day and LOVED seeing all of your work in the gallery! If you haven't submitted an art project, please do! We miss seeing your artwork on the walls of the school, so it is wonderful to see it on the digital walls of her webpage.

Here are your distance learning goals for today.

Reading
Please watch the video which is about the next part of the book Gone Fishing: A Novel in Verse. When you are done, answer questions #6, 7, 8 and 9 in your packet.

Afterward, you can use the rest of the reading time to continue to do free reading. Please fill out the ðŸ¦‰Reading Log Form after you finish so that we can be kept up-to-date with what awesome books you are reading!

Math

Today is the last day for Module 6! Tomorrow you will be taking your module 6 assessment. If you have any questions about what you have been learning in module 6, please stop in to see us from 11:00 to 11:30.
For math today, please watch this video of Lesson 9 where you will see Mr. Duane talking you through the main idea of the lesson. Today you will be analyzing data to solve problems.🦉After watching the video, please complete the problem set. I will post the answers to the problem set tomorrow. You do not need to do the homework unless you'd like some extra practice. If you finish with extra time, you can play Reflex or Zearn.

Here are the answers for Lesson 8 problem set:

Since this is the last day before the assessment, please also check your work from problems 1 & 2 today to make sure you understood the content!

Social Studies
We will continue to study Nigeria but for today we are taking a little break and sharing a video that Mrs. Anderson created for you.  This is a longer video, so feel free to watch a little today and a little tomorrow if that is easier for you.

Bonus
In honor of this nice spring weather, here is a tulip drawing video.
