Hello Amazingly, Awesome Third Graders!
We hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We are ready for another week of distance learning with some exciting things to look forward to! Don't forget about the owls that we added to the daily blog posts, reminding you when to send work to us!
First, we need you to vote for your top two choices for our Third Grade Field Day team name! Click HERE to go to the Google Form where you can cast your votes! We will announce the winning team name at our Wednesday Zoom Meeting!
Check your work from yesterday. Here are the answers to Friday's Reading Response:
🦉First, do the "Before Reading" section. Next, read the story, paying attention to all of the things you learned about reading mysteries over the last few weeks. When you are done reading, answer the questions. Last, return to the first page and finish the "After Reading" section. We will post the answers to the question page tomorrow. (Remember, the owl means this is something you should send us a photo of!)
Afterward, you can use the rest of the reading time to continue to do free reading (or mystery books). Please fill out the 🦉Reading Log Form after you finish so that we can be kept up-to-date with what awesome books you are reading!
Writing
🦉Please start by writing a Weekend Web entry with 5-8 strong sentences about your weekend. Remember to use details including what you did, how you felt, who was with you, and more. We would love to hear you share these writing pieces during our Wednesday Zoom meetup.
Math
For math today, please watch this video of Lesson 3 where you will see Mr. Duane talking you through the main idea of the lesson. Today you will be creating bar graphs from data. 🦉After watching the video, please complete the problem set. I will post the answers to the problem set tomorrow. You do not need to do the homework unless you'd like some extra practice. If you finish with extra time, you can play Reflex or Zearn.
