Hello Incredible Third Graders!

🎈😀HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AVA! 😀🎈

This is your final week as third graders!!! We are so proud of all the hard work that you have put into distance learning.  We have four days left.  Let's give it our all!

Here are your distance learning goals for today.

Reading
Last week you worked on a book review presentation. If you haven't finished your presentation OR the project, take some time to finish those up. Before you present tomorrow, you need to take some time to practice your presentation! Find a stuffed animal or someone at home that you can practice presenting to. You may even want to practice presenting in front of your computer! You should practice what you are going to say, speaking in a nice clear voice, and how you will show us your project. If you want to take pictures of your project and send them to us so that we can share them with the class, send them to us at 3rdgrade@brownschool.org.

If you have time when you are done with your brainstorming sheet, you can use the rest of the reading time to continue to do free reading. Please fill out the ðŸ¦‰Reading Log Form after you finish so that we can be kept up-to-date with what awesome books you are reading!

Math

** NOTE - The packets accidentally went to fourth graders instead of third graders. You can print out the puzzles by clicking on the link. We will send the packets again**

For math this week, we will be working on some review of all the concepts you covered in 3rd grade! In your packet, we sent a whole bunch of puzzle pages. Don't worry, you don't need to finish them all today!

🦉Choose 2 or 3 of the puzzles that you'd like to work on. Answer all of the questions and write the answers in the boxes on the right. Then, cut the puzzle pieces apart and put the answers in order. If you do it correctly, you'll be able to read some cool facts about another topic! **If you can't print the puzzles, just try doing the math and recording it on another sheet of paper. Then, you can do the puzzles when they arrive by just plugging in your answers!**

Writing:
Today is our final third-grade Weekend Web entry.   Please write 5-8 strong sentences about your weekend. Remember to use details including what you did, how you felt, who was with you, and more.  We would love to hear you share these writing pieces during our Wednesday Zoom meetup.

Grammar:
For grammar today, we'll be looking at homophones. Homophones are words that SOUND the same but are spelled differently. More importantly, they have different meanings, so if you write the wrong one, it changes the meaning of your writing!

🦉Read the LEARN section on page 220 (Lesson 49) in your grammar book. Then complete parts A, B, and C.

Bonus:
Here is Mrs. Bryant reading Bea and Mr. Jones.
